1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Freezeframe. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2 Your Account

• You register using your phone number. You are responsible for keeping your phone secure.
• You may only have one active account at a time.
• You must provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3 The 24-Hour Merge Rule

Freezeframe's core mechanic is the 24-hour merge window. All photos or videos you post within a rolling 24-hour window starting from your first post of the day are merged into a single daily post. This is a fundamental feature of the Service and cannot be disabled.

4 Content You Post

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, and text you post. By posting content on Freezeframe, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your content. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

5 Prohibited Content & Behaviour

You must not post or share content that:

• Is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or sexually explicit
• Depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities
• Harasses, bullies, or threatens other users
• Infringes the copyright, trademark, or privacy rights of others
• Contains spam, misleading information, or commercial solicitation
• Depicts minors in any inappropriate context
• Is AI-generated imagery presented as a real photo

You must not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service
• Create fake or impersonation accounts
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Service
• Circumvent any content locks or access controls

6 Content Moderation

We use AI (OpenAI Vision API) to automatically screen images for safety violations before they are published. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

You may report content that violates these Terms by contacting us at support@freezeframe.app.

7 Privacy

Your use of Freezeframe is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully.

8 Direct Messages

Direct messages on Freezeframe are private communications between you and the recipient. By using the messaging feature you agree not to use it to send spam, harass other users, or distribute prohibited content as described in §5.

9 Post Locking

Freezeframe's lock features (Lock / Super Lock) allow you to control who can view individual images. You acknowledge that:

• Locked content is still stored on our servers
• Blurring is a UI mechanism; determined bad actors may find technical ways around it
• Do not use lock features as the sole protection for highly sensitive material

10 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by visiting freezeframechat.web.app/delete-account. Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without refund or prior notice.

11 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Freezeframe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

12 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or in-app banner. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where Freezeframe is registered.
